Whether you decide an academic path is right for you or would prefer to seek career opportunities outside of academic research, obtaining funding can provide some fantastic opportunities to broaden your experiences. Smaller grants can allow you to travel to exciting conferences, establish collaborations and gain research experience in other environments. There are also opportunities to apply for funding to undertake public engagement activities (information on our PE page).
